Women Mobilize NC is an ad hoc volunteer group formed from the organizers of the Women's March on Raleigh that works to promote actions, events, and groups in NC that further our mission. We marched, rallied, called, protested, wrote, and continued the movement after the march. We come from different experiences, and many of us are first-time activists. Together, we shattered media and governmental expectations and remain dedicated to pursuing justice in our communities.

Since we marched on Raleigh last January, we have continued in our efforts to mobilize our community through a variety of protests, rallies, and other actions. We have shown solidarity with marginalized communities at the No Ban No Wall Rally, HKonJ, anti-HB2 and pro-Equal Rights Amendments at the NCGA, Paid Sick Leave Rally, March for Science, March for Truth, Fund HB13 rally, Fairmaps Rally, the Rally against Islamaphobia and Racism, and the Pledge a Protester initiative. We have engaged with elected officials through call banks, legislative trainings, and meetings with legislators at events like Women’s Advocacy Day, Tuesdays with Tillis, and Empty-chair town hall events through Senators and Representatives. There is much work yet to be done, but we are proud of the way we have mobilized our community in the past year and will continue to do so in the years ahead.
