Monika Johnson-Hostler


Monika has been the executive director for 15 years of the NC Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NCCASA) and prior to working for NCCASA she worked for the Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center of Scotland County. Monika's entire career and life's mission is to create a world where all people can live safely and as their authentic and best self. To that end she has dedicated to working on behalf of women, children and men and our most vulnerable populations. Monika's was appointed by the Obama Administration to the Violence Against Women Task Force in 2010 and at the state level she is currently appointed to the Human Trafficking Commission and the NC Partnership for Children. She is serving her second term as the Board Chair of the Wake County Public School Board, which is an extension of her commitment to advocating for all children to ensure they have access to a quality education. Monika received her BS in Psychology from Fayetteville State University and a Master of Public Administration from NC Central University.
